Talking Real Time

We have entered into the Techno stage of life having used Skype software to call our family in Turkey on the weekends. We can speak "real time" and I get to see the grand children be themselves on the computer. It has taken the "hurt" out of homesickness. It was great the last time we spoke with them; Danielle, our teenager played the piano for us; Kylie the youngest showed us her cookie; Savannah (first grader) talked about school and how she missed her class here and finally Ricky showed us his PlayDoh stuck to his forehead. It was a blast to see their house and furniture, we felt blessed to be recipients of the newest technology and enjoyed real time aspect to our visit. The 10 hour time difference has been weird to say the least. Lance, our dog, made his debut on Skype, howling and looking into the computer screen directly at Danielle probably wondering what the heck was going on.
